BBL09 Supercoach Break Evens – Round 3

Updated: December 23, 2019

Well I think that it is fair that we could call this the splash and dash round for BBL09.  4 games in 2 days having the entire round done within 48 hours, and what an interesting round it was.  Mainly thanks to something we may have never seen before and that is a game being called off for smoke.  Of course we are all hoping the best for all those affected by the fires but that is something we may never see again.

Break Evens

What we have done is worked out – roughly – what the most relevant Break Evens may be going into this round.

Now for the disclaimer: these are not perfect as we do not know the exact formula.  However, we do believe we have it close enough to give us a good idea of what a players’ Break Even may be.  Do not use these as 100% correct, they are to be used as a guide to help you with trading.  Of course there are still other factors to consider, but this is one worth considering too.

Team and Ground Averages

This year we are also going to keep track of team scoring, averages and even which grounds have the best scores.  Below are the numbers from round 1, however it will take 3-4 rounds to make any assumptions or calls on using this data to help us choose players to pick.  Keep posted though because as we get more data we will include that in some of the selection options each week.

There is quite a bit of DGW teams the next few rounds.  Adelaide have a 2, 2, 0 run, Perth a 2, 1, 0 run and Sydney Sixers a 2, 0, 1 run.  however with some clever planning we should be able to have 7-9 DGW players for round 3.

The Bye Team

With Chris Lynn reminding us all what he is capable of when he gets going, Brisbane actually have the bye this round.  That will make for an interesting process for owners: do you hold for a round or have to trade.

So that is it again for this round.  Any questions do not hesitate to hit us up on Twitter or Facebook.
