RDT NBA Schedule Analysis – Week 13

Updated: January 7, 2018

This week I am off on holidays with the family. Some relaxation, fishing, tree top walk and 7 people crammed into a tiny holiday house. With 3 of those people being kids under 12, there are bound to be some epic fights. Due to a lack of time, I haven’t been able to do my normal article opening segment – so I figured we may as well all look at some people fighting – mostly with as much intent as 3 girls. Here is a compilation of some NBA fights back from when the NBA didn’t suspend you for looking the wrong way at a referee.

Oh, and just because it is not in the last video, here is the most (in)famous fight in NBA history.

Schedule Breakdown

Trade Targets – 8 Game Teams

Brooklyn (Tor, Det, @Atl, @Was) – There is not much interest in the Nets from a Fantasy perspective. The do not have a single player averaging more than 20Fppg. If you are looking for a bit of value, you could be tempted by Rondae Hollis-Jefferson or Caris LeVert. Both have been on a reasonable run lately, but don’t expect anything too great from them.

Indiana (Mil, Mia, Cle, @Pho) – This is a good run for Indiana, with no back to back games in a 4 game week. Hopefully that means a full 4 games from this years’ surprise performer Victor Oladipo. ‘Dipo has been averaging 26 Fppg this season, which sees him ranked as the 6th best PG eligible player and the 3rd best SG eligible players. Myles Turner is the other player to look at, however if you can get one of them, I would look to one of the Pelican big men (DeMarcus Cousins, Anthony Davis) as they have 7 games and will both outscore Turner.

Cut them to the G-League – 1 or 2 Game teams

Boston – Now is the time to dump your Celtics Cash Cows. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown have done their job, and it is time to cash out.

Philadelphia – This 3 game fortnight could not have come at a better time for Ben Simmons. Whilst he has not been horrible, his Fantasy output has dropped off significantly in the last 2 weeks. Hopefully the rest will do him well.

MemphisTyreke Evans has been doing very well for coaches (when he plays) over the last month. Averaging 21Fppg  for the season, and was the 7th best Fantasy player in Week 11. He only has 4 games in the next two weeks, so get rid of him (if you can).

Phoenix – There is still a small amount (2.6%) of coaches running with Devin Booker. He needs to be moved along.

Utah – One of Dos‘ (many) ‘ma boys’ Donovan Mitchell has been killing it as a rookie. Whilst he is still unpredictable, he is starting to string together more 20+ games. It’s time for him to go if you have him, but he leaves with full appreciation and support of the Fantasy Coaching committee.

Lockout Schedule

Don’t even bother trying to work the rolling lockout this week. The vast majority of teams are locked out on Tuesday, and the rest are on Wednesday. Get your trades locked in early.
