Dream Team NBA Captain Options – Week 4

Updated: November 8, 2021

One man stood out alone this week with the best score- Jarrett Allen delivered a career best 143.  Unfortunately, Holmes, Sabonis and Harrell scored below expectations, but Paul George and Rudy Gobert did tonne up from last week’s shortlist.  I would consider trading out Sabonis and Harrell this week if you have them, as they have 3 and 2 games each and with the value we are getting at PF, we need to maximise our value at this position.  Cole Anthony has been one of the biggest suprise packets last week, but the Magic too only have 2 games this week so pass on him for another week.

Despite a stacked schedule, steer clear of Lebron and AD with injury concerns firstly and also Westbrook has been horrid the past week or so.  In fact, just ignore all Laker options to be safe.  Chicago have 3 weeks in a row of 4 game slates, so Demar Derozan is definitely a candidate to look at.  Jonas Valaciunas isn’t owned by many fantasy owners either, at 1.1% and 4 weeks in a row of 4 game slates, you can definitely consider adding him to your roster and slide Jokic over to PF.

Captaincy Considerations

For week four, we have 16 teams with a 4 game slate once again, including many of the top premos, so this week we should see a lot more scores above 1000.

  • Kevin Durant is sitting nicely on the averages at 3rd overall with an output of 32.7 fantasy points a game.  Irrespective of his team’s output, he continues to delivery game in game out.

  • Nikola Jokic shows little sign of slowing down and you can blindly put him into the Captaincy slot without too many worries most weeks, lock and load.

  • Karl Anthony Towns finally gets a 4 game slate and won’t be on too many people’s radars with only a 3.2% ownership.  That should jump considerably this week and so should a potential 120+ week.

  • Giannia Antetokounmpo is only one of 4 players above 40% ownership and is the only non rookie amongst this group (and for good reason).  With Milwaukee missing a lot of key players to start this year, the Greek Freak has been enjoying some opportunities to bolster the box score.  140 isn’t out of the question this week.

  • Jimmy Butler has been dynamic this season, one of only 6 players averaging above 30 fantasy points a game this year
