BBL Supercoach Break Evens – Round 4

Updated: December 31, 2018

Firstly we would like to pass on our condolences to Rashid Khan and his family in the terrible news we recently received.  Hoping him and his family all the best.

I think it is time that we all bow down and hail the great D’Arcy Short.  Personally I would love to see him in the test team for Sydney as a no 6 batsman and backup spinner, but also cannot see that happening.  Which is a good thing for us Fantasy Coaches.  He was very popular captain choice this round where he managed to score a pretty solid 208 for us that did captain him.  Those that went unique this week vs taking the 208 from Short are now probably saying to themselves it wasn’t the week to go unique.  But we all know that is the joy of Fantasy Sports.

Break Evens

What we have done is worked out – roughly – what the most relevant Break Evens may be going into this round.

Now for the disclaimer: these are not perfect as we do not know the exact formula.  However, we do believe we have it close enough to give us a good idea of what a players’ Break Even may be.  Do not use these as 100% correct, they are to be used as a guide to help you with trading.  Of course there are still other factors to consider, but this is one worth considering too.

The Most Relevant

Sydney Thunder are the only team with a Double Game Round this week, however the options are plentiful.  Daniel Sams and Jos Buttler have both in great form and are two players you really want to chase and try and get in.  Outside of that, there are still plenty of others showing value and possibly worth taking a risk on.  Players like Sam Rainbird and Callum Ferguson are offering some great value and if you are really desperate the likes of Shane Watson or Joe Root may be worth a stab in the dark punt.

The Bye Team

It is always hard when the form team of the competition, and fair to say the team that must now be considered the favorites to take out the championship, have their bye round.  But that is the case this week for the Hobart Hurricanes.  A lot would be running with the likes of Matthew Wade, James Faulkner, Jofra Archer, D’Arcy Short and maybe even the likes of George Bailey, Ben McDermott or Alex Doolan.  Well now is the time to probably try and move on these guys.  Holding Short would be a bonus as it will be really tough to get him back in with that new price tag later, but putting $270k on the bench is also one huge call.

So that is it again for this round.  Any questions do not hesitate to hit us up on Twitter or Facebook.  Good luck over the next four rounds.
