RDT NBA Schedule Analysis – Week 12

By
Updated: December 31, 2018

Well, the dreaded Christmas week is done and dusted. Pretty much every coach was dealt a blow early in the week with the injury to LeBron James. Those who had him captain were dealt a double blow.

We are back to a somewhat normal schedule this week, with 9 teams having a 4 game week.

Schedule Breakdown

Trade Targets (8 Game Teams)

Denver (NYK, @Sac, Cha)

Denver only has 3 games in Week 12, but have a golden week in Week 13 with 5 games. You will need to get in Nikola Jokic either this week or next week to take advantage of the schedule.

Atlanta (@Ind, @Was, @Mil, Mia)

If you are after some value at the Centre or Power Forward positions, you can have a look at John Collins. His RDT NBA scores have steadily increased since he started playing in Week 5, and let’s face it, someone has to score for the Hawks.

Dallas (@OKC, @Cha, @Bos, @Phi)

This would have to be one of the toughest road trips any team will undertake this season. All opponents are playoff contenders, and they finish the week with a back to back against the 76ers, who will be coming off a 2 day break. That game could be messy. I would keep Luka Doncic if you have him, but wouldn’t be looking to bring in anyone else from the Mavericks.

Oh Captain, My Captain!

There are a few Captain choices this week, but I like Karl-Anthony Towns the most. The T-Wolves have 4 games, but no back to back games. They have a couple of tough road games to start the week (New Orleans and Boston) but finish the week with Orlando and a potentially Lebron and Rondo-less Lakers.
