RDT NBA Schedule Analysis – Weeks 23, 24 & 25

Updated: March 25, 2018

Here we are heading towards the end of the NBA season. It has been a great year, with amazing games, stunning shots and next level players. As Fantasy coaches, we have followed along closely, feeling every knock, bump and bucket with our players.

This week will be the last of these articles for the year. I have enjoyed writing them, and hope that you have found them helpful and informative. Thanks for reading, and I look forward to chatting NBA in the lead up to next season. Just for the record, I’m tipping Houston for the title (Golden State’s injuries are very concerning) with James Harden winning both Regular Season MVP, and Finals MVP.

Schedule Breakdown

As the NBA season winds down, there are some important things to remember:\

1. Pretty much every team will rest players – Non-playoff teams will be tanking and Playoff teams will be giving their players a game or two off to freshen them up  for their playoff run.

2. Even if they play, star players will likely see less minutes per game.

3. Once a playoff position is locked in, there is literally no incentive for teams to play their star players.

4. Borderline playoff teams are the ones to look at. They have the most incentive to play hard.

5. Don’t be surprised if teams try and manipulate the playoff matchups. It is not unheard of for teams to lose in order to force a playoff matchup that they feel they have a better chance of winning.
