RDT NBA Schedule Analysis – Week 19

First off, I would like to apologise for the brevity and lack of stats in this weeks article. I was away on a family holiday, and only had my iPhone to write the article with. Not the best tool for flipping between apps, web pages and statistics. But the show must go on, and should be back to normal next week.

We have officially passed the ‘half way’ of the NBA season now that All-Star Weekend has come and gone. We are now into the home stretch, and there is actually only 2 weeks of regular season RDT games left before we hit Fantasy finals. Now is the time to position yourself for a Finals run. Unlike Mark Cuban (who advised his players this past week that it would actually be better for the team if they lost) there is no point in tanking for draft picks in RDT NBA.

So, let’s just get straight into it and look at the games for the upcoming week.

Schedule Breakdown

Trade Targets – 8 Game Teams

Sacramento (Min, @Por, Bkn, Uta, NYK) – A 5 game slate is a rare thing in RDT this season. Unfortunately for us, there is exactly 0 relevent players on the Kings.

Indiana (@Dal, @Atl, @Mil, @Was) – Victor Oladipo is your man here. Earlier in the season, you could get some value out of Myles Turner or Domantas Sabonis, but at this point in the season, you need to be bringing in only the best. Oladipo has had the quintessential break out season. He has increased is PPG by nearly 9 points from last season when he was playing alongside Russell Westbrook in Oklahoma City. He has also increased his minutes per game, Field Goals (made, attempted and percentage), 3 pointers (made, attempted and percentage), Free Throws (made, attempted and percentage), Rebounds, Assists, Steals and Blocks per game. He will definitely be in the conversation for the Most Improved Player award this season.

Memphis (@Bos, Phx, Den, @Orl) – There is not too much to get excited about with the Grizzlies unfortunately. Tyreke Evans was good for a stretch earlier in the season, but again, he is not in the frame for selection at this time of the season.

Orlando (@OKC, Tor, Det, Mem) – This team is worse than Fergie’s rendition of the American national anthem at the All-Star Game – and that is saying something. Stay away at all costs. Here is the ‘Aussie Man’s Review’ of the debacle. Warning, there is some very colourful language!

Toronto (Det, @Orl, @Was, Cha) – I just don’t think I can do it again. DeMar DeRozan burnt me earlier this year when I bought him in, and then carved up when I traded him out. He is fast becoming the Heath Shaw of NBA Fantasy.

If you are looking for a left field selection, Jonas Valanciunas is worth investigating. He has been scoring well over the last couple of weeks, and has extremely low ownership.
