BBL Fantasy Break Evens – Round 5

Updated: January 4, 2018

As we get deeper and deeper into the BBL Fantasy season, especially this year with the tough bye rounds through Rounds 6, 7 and 8, it is always great to know what a players Break Even may be prior to working out your trades.

What we have done is worked out – roughly – what the most relevant Break Evens may be going into this round.

Now for the disclaimer: these are not perfect as we do not know the exact formula.  However, we do believe we have it close enough to give us a good idea of what a players’ Break Even may be.  Do not use these as 100% correct, they are to be used as a guide to help you with trading.  Of course there are still other factors to consider, but this is one worth considering too.

Time to move if you have him and if you can.  Looks like he may fall in price the coming weeks and then be gone for the One Dayers straight after that.

AJ Tye

Similar to Stoinis.  Will probably drop some cash before going straight to the one day squad.

If you are still a Lynn owner now is probably the time to try and move him on.  He is looking like he will continue to lose money and then been gone for the ODI squad.  But in saying that, his ‘brother’ in McCullum is a perfect go to right now.

Sean Abbott

Abbott has the bye this week anyway, but if you already hadn’t, get off and get off now.

Glenn Maxwell

After missing the one day squad, keep an eye on him.  Especially if he shows any level of form. May be worth a punt in their DGW round 9.

Jofra Archer

Jofra has been playing some great cricket and with his BE still only at 32, he could be worth a look if you want a player for the round 6 DGW games.

Darcy Short

Coming off a massive week of 145 points, he is also worth a look for the round 6 DGW games.

The Bye Players

The most relevant Bye Players to get off this round are O’Keefe (injured as well), Abbott, Botha, Roy and Dwarshuis.  If you were looking to hold or bench any of these players, best options are probably Billings, Silk or Maddinson, but also be aware that Maddinson may have hurt a shoulder last night.

Where to start?  Adelaide are playing some good cricket and scoring is great for us in Fantasy.  If you don’t already have him Carey is the clear standout with a BE of -14.  Neser and Khan also have great Break Evens with Head and Stanlake also well in the mix.

So that is pretty much all that’s worth discussing this week.  If you would like another Break Even or two, feel free to hit me up on twitter @OTLS_Zano or you can find me around Facebook.  Good luck this week.
