AFL Draft Hub Player Profile – Jack Higgins

Updated: February 23, 2017

Name: Jack Higgins
Position: Small Forward/ Inside-Outside Midfielder
Height: 179cm/Weight 77kg
Club: Oakleigh Chargers/ Vic Metro
Player Comparison: Luke Dahlhaus

Jack Higgins is a lightning fast small forward/midfielder, who showed last year he couldn’t be left alone due to the damage he can create with ball in hand. His speed and ball winning ability are a key feature of his game. Higgins is a smart thinking forward which, coupled with his speed makes him a very hard to match up for for opposition defenders.

To go along with his speed, Higgins has incredible composure and is able to get out of trouble with ease and then use the ball quickly and effectively. He rarely fumbles or makes bad decisions. While being a predominantly outside player, Higgins can work inside the contest and win his fair share of hardball. For those who have seen the 2016 All Stars game, you will know the talent that Higgins possesses and to keep a close eye on his development throughout 2017.

NOTE: Height and weight measurements as per 2016.
